    花了很长时间慢慢的“读”,很同意作者Norman Lewis说的"...no educative process is ever the end; it is always the beginning of more education, more learning, more living." 这本书要一直读下去。

    字根记忆法被公认为最好的单词记忆法之一,这本书优于那些字根词典的地方是:它是按特定主题和重要字根有系统地交叉编排的,更具相关性和趣味性,可惜只有16章,三两下就没了(PS: 平时碰到生词查下www.etymonline.com也不错,比刘毅那本方便好用,后者我多年来的使用率几乎为零)

    1.作者简介错了,不是这位同名的作家,提交了但是豆瓣没有采用,如果有人看到可以点更新描述进去,选2006年去世的那位,帮忙加权修正一下。2.读单词书也能读到家乡哈哈,里面的places that made our language,satin词源是泉州。3. Not the urge to learn "words" - words are only symbols of ideas.
